What is your deposit and refund policy?

To hold the date I just require a 50% deposit then the remainder is due 2 weeks out from pickup/delivery or with prior arrangement the final payment can be paid by cash on pick up. Payment is by direct deposit or PayPal (3.6% transaction fee applies). Deposits of 50% or final payment two weeks out from the date of pickup/delivery is non refundable.

How far in advance should I order my cake?

For a big event like a wedding 6 months is best. We take bookings for weddings 1-2 years out from event date. However for smaller celebrations as little as 1 to 2 weeks notice is doable. But please be aware as a small business I can only do so many cakes a week so when the allocated time is full that week is booked out. Busy periods such as autumn and spring can book out months in advance. There is always a possibility that i may be able to fit in cupcakes last minute.

Do you have a price list?

I have a price range that I use for all my cakes but not a price list. Every cake is different depending on the butter cream application you want or if you want fondant. Please request a quote today. We have a starting point in our menu and pricing area.

Do you charge more for wedding cakes?

No.

All our cakes are the same price dependent of size and detail required. Weeding cakes may be a bit more due to set up at venue etc but not for the actual cake.

How will my cake be packaged for me to transport or delivery?

All cakes are displayed on Masonite cake boards. They are packaged up in sturdy cake boxes for safe and easy transport. All tiered cakes are very well structured with dowl and cake boards between the tiers to keep them as strong as possible. After the cake is out of my hands it is your sole responsibility.

How should I store my cake?

All cakes coated in butter cream should be refrigerated until they are required for display. All fondant cakes should be kept in a dry, cool room, preferably air conditioned. Cakes can be brought out approximately 2 hours before displaying depending on weather temperature.

Do you send decorated cookies by post?

No.

Can you package my cookies individually?

Yes we can seal them individually in cello bags with ribbon or folded over for no additional cost. Need to add a personalised tag? We can do this for you also.

Do you offer bulk prices for cookies and cupcakes?

Yes.

Do you deliver?

We recommend having us deliver all cakes that are 3 tiers or higher. We deliver all wedding cakes that require set up on location with flowers etc. If I have spare time on other days with cake production and other personal commitments I can deliver smaller cakes to your door or venue.

How much is delivery?

Delivery cost is dependent of distance traveled and if setup is required. We also charge extra if the delivery address is harder to get to due to unsealed roads etc.

Where do you deliver to?

South to Byron Bay, the greater Gold Coast Area.

Can you supply personalised toppers?

Yes. We have an amazing supplier and the average price is $40 for laser cut acrylic and wood toppers or $20 for card stock toppers. Please make sure you give us at least a weeks notice.

Do you hire toppers or cake stands?

No.

Can I use my own florist/flowers?

To ensure a perfect fit for your wedding cake we recommend you employ your florist to supply the flowers. We will liaise with your florist to ensure correct sizing and quantity and we will arrange the flowers on the cake on delivery. If you are unable to have your florists supply the fresh blooms we can supply them fro you. We do not allow your florist to apply the flowers as it is important to us that the final cake represents our work.

For celebration cakes I will supply the flowers. With the small amount I order some times flowers will have to be swapped for what is in season or what is readily available from my florist, while still staying with the theme.

Do you cater gluten free?
Yes we do, though because we use all our utensils for items that contain gluten we can’t be 100% that the item has no gluten in it therefore it is not advisable that people with celiac consume them.
Please ask us about our gluten free options today.

Are you qualified Pastry Chef?

Yes I am a qualified Pastry Chef. I have over 20 years experience in dessert restaurants, cafes, wholesalers and large hotels such as the Sofitel & Hilton.

Can I keep my cake after the event and for how long?

Yes, up to one week in the refrigerator or 3 months in the freezer. This is at your own decision making and you must use common sense. But as stated above once the cake leaves my hands it is your sole responsibility.

Do you cater butter cream and fondant cakes?

Yes we do both styles of cakes. Please do not be afraid to use fondant, the product has come a long way in the past 20 years and we use the thinnest coating with a delicious white chocolate ganache layer under it.

Do you offer wedding cake tastings?

Yes we do, ask us today about our next date. About every 3-4months we have tasting boxes available to pick up from Elanora. These are $30 each which will be deducted from the price of your cake or are free of charge if you have already booked with us and paid your deposit. Also head to our instagram or Facebook page for genuine reviews.
